Ethics Policy of JNASR

 

The journal is committed to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines (https://publicationethics.org/), and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) codes of conduct (http://icmje.org/). The journal editors and authors follow confidentiality and fairness in all the JNASR procedures and interactions. All the stakeholders must avoid fraudulent, illegal, and abusive language.

 Authorship Criteria

  1. Name of all the authors must be registered at the time of manuscript submission on the JNASR online manuscript submission system.
  2. The author who submits the manuscript is considered as the corresponding author.
  3. All the authors are responsible for the content.
  4. All the authors confirm that they had:

 

  • significant contributions to the research design; OR data gathering OR data interpretation and analysis and drafting the manuscript and revising the manuscript,

and

  • have approved the final version to be published.

 

  1. Based on the ICMJE guidelines for authorship criteria, what you need to do is clearly clarify how each author contributed to the work.
  2. The corresponding author is required to identify the contribution of all authors in the cover page of the submitted manuscript.
  3. All who supported the research must be acknowledged in the acknowledgement section.
  4. The granting agency must be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript.
  5. The manuscript revisions must be approved by all the contributors.

Conflict of Interest

It is defined by the ICMJE guidelines as:

A conflict of interest between an author (or the author’s institution), reviewer or editor due to personal or financial relationships; for example, employment, consultancy, etc. that jeopardize their actions and judgement; for example, dual commitments, competing interests, or competing loyalties. Some examples of conflicts of interest include personal relationships, academic competition, and intellectual passion.

At the time of manuscript submission, the contributing authors must submit the completed JNASR Authorship Statement, and their manuscript must include sections of Conflicts of Interest, Financial Disclosure and Copyright Transfer for more information, please refer to the JNASR authors guide (http://jsrme.nasrme.ac.ir/journal/authors.note).

 Submission Declaration

The submitted manuscript must be:

  1. Authentic and valid.
  2. Not published before.
  3. Not submitted concurrently to another journal either in print or electronically, in any form or language.

The corresponding author is the contact person of the editorial office to review, revise and proof-read the submitted manuscript.

Duplicate/ Previous Publication or Submission

Duplicate or previous publication of the manuscript in any form or language is absolutely forbidden.

Changes to Authorship

Regarding to the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names in the authorship of submitted manuscripts following descriptions would be considered:

A request for adding or removing an author, or rearranging the author names of the submitted or accepted manuscript should be send by corresponding author included the following items:

  1. The reason the name should be added or removed or the author names rearranged.
  2. Signed JNASR Change to Authorship Form by all authors who agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement.

Requests which have not been sent by the corresponding author will automatically forwarded by the Journal Managing Editor to the corresponding author to follow the mentioned procedure. More, after manuscript publication, no authorship changes are allowed.

 

Role of Funding Resource

Funding resource/s must be clearly stated the granting agency and the grant code in the acknowledgement section of the manuscript.

 

  • The full official name of the funding agency should be mentioned. For example, National Agency for Strategic Research in Medical Sciences (NASR)
  • In cases of multiple Granting agencies, they should be separated by a semi-colon (plus ‘and’ before the last funding agency). For example, National Agency for Strategic Research in Medical Sciences (NASR); XXXXX; and XXXX.
  • Grant numbers should be complete and accurate and provided in brackets For example,[grant number: 0123456789]]
  • Multiple grant numbers should be separated by a comma [grant numbers 0123456789 AND 9876543210]

 Open Access

JNASR is an open access journal. All manuscripts will be published free of charge and readers can read and download them freely. The published manuscripts are permitted to follow Creative Commons user license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
